Our families make the financial commitment to an independent school because they know that investing in their child’s education has great impact, both today and far beyond the K-12 years.

While every family is expected to pay some portion of the tuition and to support the community to the extent that they can, we do not expect tuition to be the same for everyone.

Families contribute from $100 to $1000 per month for their student's tuition for a 10-month school year. Our admissions offer for each student is not contingent upon a family’s ability to pay. Knowledge Schools encourage families to apply for flexible tuition if they think they may qualify.

Applying for Flexible Tuition

To apply:

Complete The Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS).
Please provide the required documentation to your Flexible Tuition (PFS) application:
Copies of past two years of tax information (1040, W-2s, 1099s, and any relevant schedules).
Copies of your last three pay stubs.

Applying for Scholarship

A scholarship program is available for low income families to help them make independent school possible. Some families may qualify for a scholarship in addition to the support they receive through Flexible Tuition Program. We encourage interested families to see if they are eligible and apply.

A scholarship is applied to the tuition set by the school through the Flexible Tuition process, reducing a family's financial obligation. Please contact one of our admission advisors to learn more about our scholarship program.

2020–2021 School Year

Military Family and Sibling Discount

Military families and families with more than one child attending Knowledge Schools receive a 10% discount on the total tuition for the younger sibling.

Tuition Payment Plans

Pay annual tuition in full by the start of the school year (1% discount) or 10 monthly payments (September – June) with mandatory tuition insurance fee (1% of tuition, invoiced in October)

Tuition FAQ

What is included in tuition? Are there any additional costs?

Tuition covers all costs including elective courses, textbooks, supplies and a loaner laptop if needed. Additional fees may incur for STEAM supplies, loaner laptop insurance, field trips, and school events.

Define a full-time and part-time student?

Full-time students take 7 courses per semester and part-time students take 4 courses per semester.

Do you offer refund if I disenroll before the school year starts?

Upon acceptance or re-enrollment of your child, an enrollment deposit of ten percent (10%) of the annual tuition is required which, while non-refundable, is credited toward tuition charges invoiced later in the academic year.

When will a family learn if they have been offered Flexible Tuition or Scholarship?

Admission acceptance decisions will be sent along with a separate response regarding Flexible Tuition. Responses to families will fall into three categories: an offer of Flexible Tuition; notification that the family does not qualify for Flexible Tuition; or notice that the family is waitlisted for Flexible Tuition. A waitlist designation means that a family will be considered for Flexible Tuition if additional funding becomes available. Students applying for scholarships will be notified.

If a student’s family participates in flexible tuition, does the student stay in the program until graduation?

Provided family circumstances remain the same and the school’s resources can continue to support the program to the same extent, the school intends to fund the student for all their years at Knowledge Schools. To continue in the program, the family must reapply each year.

If a family does not receive flexible tuition one year, can they re-apply the following year?

Although a family is welcome to re-apply or apply for the first time for flexible tuition in any year, families that come in at a certain level are expected to stay within that range barring any major financial change (job loss, incoming sibling, etc.)
